How about an edublogs.org aggregator? A place to see all edublogs.org blog posts as they’re posted, rather than having to poke around to find them? There’s apparently something for WordPress to do this, as well as FeedOnFeeds…

WP-DB-Backup plugin?

Not sure if it’s compatible with WPMU, but WP-DB-Backup might be a nice touch – gives the users a chance to back their stuff up, as well as the option to easily move to their own host if they outgrow this one.
Love the WPMU warning…

Check the footer of the admin interface for the WPMU version warning…

Wow. Edublogs.org rocks!

Seriously. This is some pretty insanely easy weblogging! I’m a bit curious to see how it scales with the clone-all-wordpress-tables scheme of weblog creation, but if it works on the hundreds-or-thousands scale, I’m very interested in seeing how it could work on campus.
The Admin/authoring UI looks much more streamlined than Drupal’s, so I think profs may be more likely to use it from that perspective. And, with the full client API, they can use desktop tools, as well as the more robust bookmarklets.
Hmm… Might have to consider possible migration of weblogs.ucalgary.ca to this… Or, perhaps, adding it as an additional option?
Actually, this might be a good time to reconsider options. Drupal vs. WPMU vs. ELGG…
If WPMU gave the ability to tweak the selected theme, that just might be a near-perfect solution…
